about
This track was an experiment in style. Yea Tall was conceived as a folk song, so in defiance our first inclination we set out to record a toe-tapping ditty with synth and electronic drums. It was fun.
lyrics
Once I had a fever
of a hundred and four,
I was seeing a vision
on my bedroom floor,
That rock was getting bigger,
then it'd get real small,
But ever time I reached it
pinned me against the wall,
I was dripping with fever
and shrinking from it all,
Been sweating this stuff
ever since I was
yea tall, yea tall, yea tall
I've been running a fever,
I've been lost in a dream,
And lately I've been seeing
things aren't what they seem,
This world is getting bigger,
my world's increasingly small,
And everyday I live I'm
more aware of it all,
I've been dripping with fever
and shrinking from it all,
Been sweating this stuff
ever since I was
yea tall, yea tall, yea tall
